Visiting Plymouth
I don’t know how many of you have ever been to Plymouth, Devon, but in case you have never set foot in this part of the country, I would like to tell you a few things about this very special place.
In my opinion, Plymouth is completely undervalued as a tourist destination. I know that many tourists from all over the country and the world decide to visit it, but can the numbers of tourists to Plymouth compare to the number of those visiting Blackpool or London?
Plymouth has a lot to offer to people from all walks of life. With Dartmoor National Park only 10 minutes drive from the city center, everybody should be able to find something for himself. Those looking for peace and quiet will enjoy long walks along the green paths of Dartmoor, but those looking for nightlife will enjoy everything that Plymouth has to offer when it gets dark. I am not going to forget to mention the beaches of South Devon or Cornwall which are only a few minutes away. Plymouth might not have the best beaches out there, but if you are willing to drive short distances, you will have a blast on one of the many sandy beaches in the area.
Plymouth is a great place to visit, but it is also great place to live. I wouldn’t hesitate to move there again if I had an opportunity to do so.
Home Movie Theaters
While I like to be able to go out and watch a movie in a movie theater, I also like the idea of being able to watch my favorite movies at home. This is probably why I decided to make sure that my home movie theater experience can be as enjoyable as it is possible. I noticed that sound plays an important role in ensuring that I and my family are going to enjoy our time spent together watching various movies at home. I came to the conclusion that I need at least a few speakers to enjoy the movie watching experience at home. Every time I go to a real movie theater, the quality of sound in there is perfect. I want to be able to replicate the same experience at home.
Scary Movies
It might not be Halloween, but I recently watched Halloween the movie. Whether you will like it will depend on the simple fact: you like to be scared or not. I am this type of a person that likes to be scared but not too much at one time. I wouldn’t definitely watch horrors as the only kind of movies. What I do is I choose interchangeably film to be scared about and either regular comedy or some romantic comedy.
The movie that recently traumatized me for a while was Cry Wolf. Like almost in any scary movie there has to be a killer. There is one in Cry Wolf, there is also one in Halloween the movie. I am talking here about Michael Myers, a man in his twenties who has recently been released from the mental institution where he spent most of his life (no, this is not a mistake. He was put there when he was a kid for killing his older sister and her boyfriend.). Now, after being accidentally freed, Michael returns to his home village to find his younger sister. Will he kill her too? What are his motives for murdering his relatives? Those are the interesting things when you watch movies. If you like to be scared, there are many movies of this type on theaters.
Spore Creature Creator
Spore is a game that I played that is a cross between s strategy game and simulation. The game is about evolving your creatures from bacteria, up to a civilization which colonizes space. There are five stages of your creatures: cell, creature, tribal, civilization and space. The idea is very innovative and even if you don't buy the game, you can at least design your own spore creatures by downloading a spore creature designer. If you download the Spore creatures creator from the official site and you will be able to design your own creatures by attacking mouth, eyes, legs, and claws to a malleable body. I am sure it is a lot of fun and I encourage you to take a look at it.
Free Software
I am kind of person that likes to look for good deals as I do not want to pay too much for anything. That is why I am happy that there is more and more free software out there. All kinds of programs are for free. This can include programs that can help office workers, but it also includes various software such as media players, security software, file converters, or even games. Basically, almost any kind of program can be found for free. Some of these free programs are very good and can compete with software that costs a lot of money. That is why it is worth checking out free software.
